How do we know if people will support our plans with a gift?
If we start a campaign, how much can we raise?
Who should be involved in our campaign?
Do we have what it takes to manage a successful campaign?
Feasibility Studies assess your organization’s overall readiness for a capital campaign. They measure key variables of campaign leadership, major donors, compelling case and office infrastructure needed to support a successful campaign.
We believe that a feasibility study is an investment in the success of a subsequent campaign and enables an organization to test variables before the campaign and use the results to effectively direct the overall campaign strategy.
To conduct a feasibility study, McDonald Schaefer Group extensively reviews significant printed materials and personally interviews selected key constituents such as Board Directors, potential major gift prospects, and other constituents including potential campaign leaders. These interviews help provide answers to questions like:
How strong is the support for this project?
What is a realistic campaign goal?
Who are your major donor prospects?
Who will serve as campaign leaders?
What are the campaign rallying points?
What specific obstacles may be encountered and what strategies will address them?
Feasibility Studies usually result in one of three findings:
Your organization is ready to move ahead with a capital campaign now.
Your organization is not yet ready for a campaign, but can be if certain steps are taken.
Your organization does not appear ready for a campaign for the foreseeable future.
