Do You Find Yourself Asking general fundraising
  • We can’t keep creating programs to fit a funding opportunity.
  • Our clients can’t afford to pay any more for our programs, but we have already cut the budget to the bone. How do we find the money we need?
  • How can we diversify our revenue streams?
Capital Campaigns
Every nonprofit organization must engage in Fundraising on an every day basis to raise the funds necessary to run programs serving the organization’s clients.
General Fundraising Philosophy
McDonald Schaefer Group works with each client, strengthening their general fundraising from the ground up. Realizing there is no boiler plate plan or solution that will work for every organization of every size, we take the time to learn who you are, what you are good at, and how we can help you get to the next level in your fund development initiatives.

Comprehensive Development
  • COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENTaddresses all the major components of a complete fund-raising plan, which includes annual giving which commonly takes the form of a direct mail appeal, major gift fund-raising using personal solicitation to secure significant donations, grant writing to communicate with organized philanthropies, and planned giving to help the donor leave a lasting legacy with the organization. Effective comprehensive development is an on-going process, not an ad hoc engagement, and will not address immediate emergency needs.

  • INFRASTRUCTURE AND SUPPORT refers to the human and other resources needed to implement a comprehensive development program. This can include development program assessment to analyze existing infrastructure, fund development plans to identify how to proceed, volunteer management to recruit and support the volunteers leading a fund development initiative, and grant writing to communicate effectively with organized philanthropies.
