Where can I go to talk with people who know what I am experiencing and can provide some advice?
Training and Workshops are effective ways for staff and volunteers to stay fresh and approach their work in new ways.
We encourage people at every level of involvement in the nonprofit sector to devote some time to themselves as individuals and as professionals, making sure they remain energized and committed to this critical work. Lifelong learners and people who stay connected to a network of learning and support are more likely to remain effective and innovative.
McDonald Schaefer Group’s consultants have worked with and for nonprofit organizations for many years. We are delighted to bring to bear what we have learned along the way on the work of an organization, or for people who are interested in exploring new ideas.
Training Workshops – we can provide training in a variety of subjects for a team from a single organization, teaching about fund development, best practices, effective board governance and other subjects in one-time workshops or a series of classes designed to meet the needs of your organization.
Learning Circles – periodically we respond to requests from individuals, setting up facilitated learning circles where the conversation is among people from different organizations who have something in common and would like to explore their shared questions and concerns in a facilitated, confidential environment.
